We’ve been hard at work getting accessories for the HoboNargile back into the US, and heck, we’ve just succeeded.  For those on the email list this comes as no surprise, as we sent out an update and a cheeky little discount as of Friday of last week.  The orders have been voracious, as its pretty obvious that HoboHero’s have been yearning to turn their pipes into two hose party hookahs for a while now.

In addition to the hoses, we now have super stems and trays in stock.  The stems are really awesome.  A lot of people liked that we shortened the stem on the New HoboNargile, as it made a number of bottles easier to use with the Hobo, but I know there are a few of you out there that love the big and tall bottles and this is really the stem for you.

Anyways, that’s the big news for the summer.  This fall/winter we should have a couple of sweet new additions, but until then, enjoy the new accessories and the rest of summer.  Keep living the dream!

So, we thought we’d get the HoboNargiles out to you guys this week, but the good people over at LAX Customs had other plans.  While your Hobo is getting X-Ray’d, take some time off to reflect on how awesome it will be when it finally arrives at your door.

Last week, I went to San Diego to check out the hookah scene and get things ready for the big product launch.  While there, I hung out with the founder of Tangiers Tobacco, Eric.  He packed me a big time bowl of Tangier’s Lemon-Lime hookah tobacco.  If you are ever in the area, its a good idea to check out his shop and ask him how he does it.  Smoking from one of his bowls, definitely brings the full potential of his tobacco to life.

I also checked out the home of one of our favorite hookah tobaccos, Fumari.  This is a great hookah bar, reminding me of the old and long since passed, Casbah in Madison, WI.  Aside from the actual heads they pack there, its was nice to have the flavors delivered to the table for a quick smell test before deciding on which shisha to go to. 

Finally, we did go to the SD hookah Mecca, the Hookah Company warehouse in Encinitas.  Seriously like a kid in a candy store.  Imagine everything on their site in front of you.  Amazing.

Also, in the news, I will be doing some traveling in the next couple of months.  We always like to meet up with current and future HoboHeros when we are on the road.  Here are the date:

A little late on the old blog entry this week, but that’s because we have officially launched the HoboNargile Pre-Order! (applause)

As we speak, a boat load of hookahs are heading for the West Coast and if you want to get yours as soon as possible, and at a cheeky little discount, you’ve got to order yours before they arrive.  It could be next week, could be early February, regardless, the time to order is ticking away.

We’ve gotten some great feedback from our last sale, in December, and everything went off without a hitch.  Here’s one comment that speaks the truth:

We don’t have much news to report this week, just working to get the HoboNargile to our shores.  Keep watching the email list for pre-order details.  We’ll have delivery date and a sweet deal ready to rock by the end of the week, so if you missed out in 2009, this is your next shot.  We have a lot more to move, but honestly, I don’t know how long they will last.

We have another Hobocans Happy Hour happening, where we review Tangiers Chocolate Cherry.  If you are still in the holiday mood, it will do for Christmas what Starbuzz Pumpkin Pie did for Thanksgiving.

The time is upon us.  Finally the international transit gods have smiled upon the HoboNargile and we have a plan to get you your hookah as early as December 24th.

So enough beating around the bush, why should you get on the HoboNargile train either in 2009 or 2010?  Here are the specs:

1) Same great hookah pipe style as the HoboHookah: Fits on nearly any bottle and is super transportable / durable.  The HoboNargile will be compatible with all of your HoboHookah accessories as well.

2) Release Valve + 2nd hose option: Finally the Hobo adds a release valve to keep your smoke the way you like it.  Also, drop the release valve to get double-banger hookah action.

3) Shorter, unscrewable down stem: This makes the HoboNargile even more versatile than the HoboHookah.  In addition, look for new downstems on HoboHookah.com coming in mid-2010, so that you can customize your hookah for ever more bottles and better functionality.

4) Better price: We had to bring the same quality to this pipe as the HoboHookah, but we were able to work with suppliers to make the pipe more cost effective for us.  We are passing the savings on to you, the HoboHero.
