Hookah Tray Supplies

In my presence...

...a man once referred to a cold ember atop a warm hookah as a “dust bunny.”

It struck me as off; I had only heard the phrase used to describe lint, and grey cloud-like matter that collects and hovers in inconvenient corners.

Without response or any signs toward relaying the rationale of this particular moniker, he continued, “Yeah, cause they replicate like bunnies!” It struck me as true, but not until that moment. We had polished two tangiers funnel bowls over the course of the evening and must have used at least 15 coals. I was brought into the light. A concept that had eluded me so long had been revealed by my favorite hookah and bowl combination.

It was a rare moment when one could almost smell the subtle scent of The Dream.

Sadly, I was dissolved of my sweet notion when upon further investigation it became clear that at some point the dust bunnies had stopped mating on my funnel bowl and started shitting on my rug.

A warning to those Heroes brave enough to travel sans tray:

• In my travels I have found very few suitable makeshift substitutes for a good sturdy tray, tin foil works…. for a bit, but eventually it begins to spray ash like an unneutered cat
• Sure, your friend loves that you bring the travel hookah when you visit, but is their white couch that you’ve been sleeping on for the last few nights really going to look better in smudged dalmation?
• Heroes, do you ever tire of the eternal deul between tong precison and your well executed coal placemanship versus the fattening dust bunnies and their shiftless offspring peering their fuzzy little asses over the edgue of the bowl… and releasing yesterday’s catch onto your upholstry?

A word to the wise, give your hookah charcoal a proper burial….which the modestly priced receptacles above will do with respect and just a little enthusiasm.
